Local governments' urban service boundaries are nearing capacity and filling up. Many local governments look to expand into the countryside without having a plan or vision on how they want these newly opened areas of the countryside to be settled.

Over the next ten years, TCRPC will send hundreds of recommendations and messages to local governments about the future of the Region-how development should look, where it should be located, and how to create more efficient developments. As the next wave of growth occurs in the Region, the Strategic Regional Policy Plan gains even more importanc
