SR 7 Transit Supportive Land Uses Charrette

Dates: April 17 - 23, 2010
The Treasure Coast Regional planning Council has contracted with the Palm Beach MPO and the Florida Department of Transportation District IV to conduct a week-long land use and urban design charrette in southern Palm Beach County. This effort will focus on land-use and planning issues as well as explore strategies to improve transit and mobility in the western portions of the two counties. The focus of the study is along the SR 7 corridor from the Loxahatchee Canal (Broward and Palm Beach County line) to ½ mile north of Glades Road.

Public works out issues with an urban designer as a facilitator. At the end of the session, each table presents their ideas.

This event includes a Work-in-Progress presentation and an opportunity to provide additional public input.
After a week of working in the community, work completed within the week is presented back to the public. These are examples from other charrettes and in no way influence the upcoming charrette.
