The
Citizens’ Master Plan recommends a continuous façade
of retail uses along the Jensen Beach Boulevard (downtown’s
main street). A continuous line of retail would encourage
people to walk further down the street thus further stimulating
business in the downtown. While a bank is a commercial enterprise,
it is not considered a retail use. The proposal offers three
options for relocating the downtown bank and infilling the
bank’s former site with a retail-mixed-use building.
