TCRPC is under continuing
contract to serve as adjunct staff to the Community Redevelopment
Agency (CRA) and the Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC).
The NAC makes recommendations to the CRA. TCRPC has a long history
of involvement in the redevelopment of downtown Jensen Beach
beginning with the Jensen Beach Downtown Charrette in July 1996.
The purpose of the CRA and the NAC is to encourage redevelopment
and reinvestment in downtown Jensen Beach that reflects the
citizens’ vision.
The Jensen Beach CRA has adopted a redevelopment overlay
with codes that offer predictability and result in the citizens’
vision. The CRA and NAC are further refining the citizens’
vision by undertaking a parking study and creating architectural
design guidelines.
