Project Description: The Scripps Florida Phase II/Briger Tract DRI is a proposed multi-use master plan community located on approximately 683 acres south of Donald Ross Road, north of Hood Road and east and west of Interstate 95 and east of Florida’s Turnpike in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The Scripps Florida Phase II/Briger Tract DRI is another landmark in the process which began when Governor Jeb Bush signed legislation creating the Scripps Florida Funding Corporation. This step allowed the Scripps Research Institute to locate its Florida operations to the Jupiter/Palm Beach Gardens area of Palm Beach County. The first phase of Scripps Florida, currently under construction, is located immediately north of the subject site within the Abacoa DRI. The second phase of Scripps Florida will be located on 70 acres within the subject site.

The proposed development program is 1,600,000 square feet of Biotech Research and Development for the second phase of Scripps Florida, 2,400,000 square feet of related biotechnological/biomedical, pharmaceutical, ancillary office space and other related uses, 2,700 dwelling units and 500,000 square feet of retail space.

The local government shall adopt and render a development order. Within 30 days after DRI public hearing is concluded.
The RPC reviews the development order and recommends approval or appeal of the development order Within 45 days after the development order is rendered.
